How to Download a TikTok Video on Your Phone or PC

TikTok has its own Save video option, but it is not always there. Creators can switch it off, it behaves differently on a computer, and it never gives you just the audio. If you want to download a TikTok video you made, or one a creator has cleared you to use, a browser-based downloader is the simplest route. It works the same on iPhone, Android and PC, and all it needs is the video's link.

All you need is the video link

No TikTok login, no app, no extension. The tool reads the public video from its link, so the only skill involved is copying that link correctly.

On the TikTok app (iPhone and Android)

Open the video and tap the Share arrow on the right-hand side. In the panel that slides up, tap Copy link. You will usually get a short address starting with vm.tiktok.com or vt.tiktok.com. That is fine to paste as it is.

On a computer

Open the video in your browser so it plays on its own page, then copy the address bar. A full TikTok link looks like tiktok.com/@username/video/ followed by a long number. In the desktop For You feed, the Share button next to the video also offers Copy link.

How to download a TikTok video step by step

1. Copy the video's link using one of the methods above.
2. Open the TikTok video downloader on Online Toolsz in Safari, Chrome or any browser.
3. Paste the link into the box and press Get Video Info.
4. Look at the card that appears: thumbnail, caption, the creator's name, duration and a TikTok badge. Make sure it is the right clip.
5. Press Fast download to get the MP4 straight from TikTok's servers, or Download MP4 video (high quality) to have our server prepare it.
6. Wait for the browser to finish, then move the file to your gallery if you are on a phone (details below).

Which TikTok download option to pick

An honest note about the TikTok watermark

Plenty of sites promise TikTok downloads without a watermark. We don't make that promise. The tool downloads the video file that TikTok serves for that post; it does not edit the video, crop it or paint over anything. What you get is what the platform provides.

If the video is yours and you want a clean copy, the reliable answer is to go back to the source:

• Open the project in TikTok's drafts, or in the editing app you used, and export it again before posting.
• Get into the habit of saving your edited video to your camera roll before you hit Post.
• For older posts with no draft left, a downloaded copy is still a useful backup, even if it isn't pristine.

If the video belongs to someone else, leave the watermark alone. It is how viewers trace a clip back to the person who made it, and removing it to pass the video off as yours is exactly what gets accounts reported.

Saving TikTok videos to your phone or computer

iPhone

Safari asks whether to download the file; tap Download. It lands in the Files app under Downloads. Open it, tap Share and choose Save Video, and it appears in Photos alongside your other clips.

Android

Chrome saves the MP4 to the Downloads folder. Gallery or Photos normally shows it in a Downloads album. If not, open it once from your file manager and it will usually be picked up.

Windows and Mac

The file goes to your browser's download folder. TikTok videos are vertical, so expect black bars if you play them in a widescreen player.

Common errors and quick fixes

• The account is private: the tool only sees public videos, so the card won't load.
• The video was deleted: once it is gone from TikTok, the link points at nothing.
• A short link won't load: open it in your browser, let it redirect, then copy the full tiktok.com address.
• The download stops halfway: try the other MP4 button, or refresh and paste the link again.

Limitations

The tool handles single public video posts. It does not download whole profiles, private or friends-only videos, TikTok LIVE, or Stories that have expired. Douyin, TikTok's sister app, is not supported at the moment. No watermark-free file is promised. Your link is processed by our server and download service, and we never ask for your TikTok login.
